"S.O.S!! I have a wedding today and MY SUIT IS ALL CRUMPLED!!!!
WHAT TO DO??!! "
My phone went off this morning with an S.O.S call from a client in a pickle.
He had left his suit folded up after its last use a while ago (guys, please treat your suits with the respect they deserve and save yourselves from these emergency moments - remember to hang your suits) , and upon unpacking it this morning *FREAK OUT* the suit was "a level 5 wrinkled" to quote Mr C.
TIP #1 - For emergencies when you have to wear the suit straight away:
Me: "Do you have a small bathroom?"
Mr C: "Yes"
Me: "OK, hang the suit up in the bathroom and switch the shower on HOT and create a steam room. Let the suit hang in there for at least 15 minutes, this should do the trick".
Mr C: "Thanks for saving the day again, Elle, what a legend".
TIP #2 - If you have a bit more time up your sleeve (Oh, yeah, see what I did there??):
Let your suit hang for a couple of days.
Wool is a natural fibre and one of the beauties about that is it relaxes and falls back to form given enough time.
TIP #3:
Gently steam your suit before wearing it.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT touch the fabric with the steamer. keep it a few centimetres away to avoid damage.
